Portland worked with the company’s directors, staff and suppliers, to continue to trade during the administration to ensure that the July edition was completed, printed and distributed. The uninterrupted circulation of the magazine preserved the goodwill of the business, which in turn has led to an increased sales price and will result to an improved return to the company’s creditors.
Steve Godwin, Director of Portland Business Recovery commented;
“I am pleased with the successful outcome. The magazine is an important advertising medium for local businesses, as it is distributed to 37,000 homes on the South Coast. It was pleasing to note the amount of interest shown in this well established title from a number of bidders, which perhaps reflects some increasing business confidence within the local business community.”
