Portland Business & Financial Solutions The way forward, made brighter

Portland Senior Manager helps raise almost £3,000 for local charity

Senior Manager at Portland Business Recovery, Nicola Layland continued her successful streak of co-hosting the R3 Southern Regions Women’s Group annual flagship dinner, with yet another packed event.....

The prestigious event, which took place at The Grand Cafe in Southampton, was attended by over 150 insolvency professionals.

Also in attendance as the guest speaker was former national and domestic Rugby Union player Austin Healey, which was very well received.

The event was in aid of a locally based charity, Hannah’s Holiday Home who commented,

“We are amazed at the amount raised – incredible”.

The raised funds will allow 8 families affected by cancer to have a much needed break at the facility.

Nicola commented;

“All in all, the night was a huge success, and I was taken aback by people’s generosity and kindness.  Being able to raise money for a relatively small local charity has meant that the money raised has made a real difference.  This is a record amount, hopefully we will be able to top this yet again next year.”

Some of the many comments from guests that attended -

“Great night on Thursday.  I loved the venue and Austin Healey was very entertaining. Well done!”

“A massive well done for pulling off another tremendous night. Everything was brilliant - such good feedback all round.”

“We would like to thank you for putting together a fantastic annual dinner last week in Southampton.”
